Mt. Rushmore

It's Friday and I don't have much to say. Yvonne's been sick for the past few days, which means I'm trying to pick up some of the slack when I can. We've had rain and rain and more rain. I know we need it, but I still hate it.

Anyways, here's another photo from the family archives. It's Mt. Rushmore, circa 1937-1939.

And here's a close-up of the heads to give you an idea of what's been done.

And on a side note, I read more of Karen Miller's The Innocent Mage and so far, I've been enjoying it.

Those are some neat pictures of Mt. Rushmore. Hope Yvonne gets feeling better soon. It is hard for moms to be sick.

I hear you about the rain, I think I'm getting your leftovers or your getting mine. But, either way, I've certainly been in continuous for naps - even when I'm in the middle of sleeping I want a nap!

I had a weird dream this morning. I was laying down to take a nap (see, I told you!) and it was early afternoon, around 10-11am or so. I got a phone call and when I answered it some woman was speaking Spanish to me.

I knew what she was saying but, in Spanish, I asked her to speak English (And, with my familiarity in Spanish, this really was Spanish). She continued in Spanish when I finally understood what she meant.

So, I called out to the living room for Carmen - apparently I had a Mexican guy taking care of my house (I wish I was that rich! Except it wouldn't be a dudetaking care of things!) - and he wouldn't answer. I got out of bed to look for him and noticed my spare keys for my Monte Carlo (which in the dream belonged to an old beat up Jeep Cherokee) were gone and so was my car.

I got back on the phone and translated to the woman what happened and it turned out she was American and was trying to track down an illegal alien. It seemed she was just several minutes too late.

I woke up, and after that dream I swear I needed a nap because thinking about the dream made my head hurt.

By the way, It's too bad you couldn't zoom in any closer to the scaffolding on the Mt. Rushmore pic, else you'd see me diligently working on Roosy's 'stache. ;-D
