Random Family Photo

Just a random family photo I have. Not sure why I felt like putting it up here, but it sure beats a heated argument about illegal immigration.

This is George Edward Phillips (1878-1951) and Jessie Irene Piester (1879-1960) after (or for) their wedding in 1900. They are my grandmother's parents. George would later kill one of his daughters and spend the rest of his life in prison.

Great story! I have a great great grandfather who was a Great Lakes sea Captain, and sunk in Lake Superior in 1893. That's as exciting as it gets on my maternal grandparents' side.

I wish I had as much time for geneaology as you do. I'm so jealous!

cinda - There are a buch of stories that I've run across and I'm sure many more that I have yet to discover. And if you want more time for geneaology, just get a cube-farm job like me.

Mom - That's just one of many photos of the Phillips family that bear a striking resemblance to Grandma Bertha. I think that particular gene is dominant because it's passed down to Dad, me, and William.

Poor Mr. Phillips. I understand how daughters can drive a man to madness, well, women in general actually, but more particularly the daughters.

A lesson you must take heed of my friend! ;-D
