You can't spell DEATH without the letters T-E-A

If you think I'm weird, welcome to the party. If you think I'm weirder than weird, here's further proof.

I recently switched my instant tea (iced, not hot) from the generic Wal-Mart brand to Crystal Light. So for a month or so I've been accumulating enough of this that I swear it was trying to poison me. I can't explain it, but there has got to be something in there that I'm either allergic to or that cannot be consumed in large quantities.

I know I drink a lot of it (about 2 quarts a day), but if drinking that much is bad, why sell it?

Needless to say, I'm back to the generic Wal-Mart brand of tea and I'm already feeling better.

Oh, and one more side note - don't use a regular knife from your nice silverware to cut cheese. you'll bend it and feel like a fool telling your wife about it. Instead use a cheese knife or cheese slicer or ask for help.

Actually, I've found the Wal Mart single serving powders for bottled water taste better than Crystal Lite. The grape and apple are amazing. Though I do love the CL fruit punch and cherry pomergranite are really good.

I'm more of a Grape Nehi fan myself, but seeing as I don't drink soda anymore, the grape drinks form Wally world just don't match up. But my daughter loves them and my wife likes the fruity red one. And seeing how much I drink, I'm not sure the single-serve would help me much.

crystal light lemonade is about all we have here. we usually have some strawberry kiwi when my dad is here. the kids like me to mix them together for 'pink lemonade'. it's ok, but a bit sweet for me.

I find most lemonade too sweet for me. Maybe that's why I prefer the tea instead.

There's a great deal of Aspartame in CL, and it hurts my teeth. I don't know why.

That said, I do like the Sunrise Orange because it tastes very close to Tang or OJ which, as a diabetic, I cannot have that often.

Having food allergies, I checked the ingredients on both drink mixes and there were nearly the same. And as far as I know I have no allergy to aspartame. It's in the cheapo drink mix and it doesn't bother me.

I never knew about aspartame until I started doing more research on the ingredients to the two teas. I'd heard of it, saw some of the warnings on drinks, just never paid attention to it.
