The Airing of Grievances-edited-

Sienfield had that great episode with Festivus. And while I'm doing quite well in not airing my grievances about Yvonne backing into Dad's car, I feel there are a few things that simply must be said to those out there that need to hear it.

-edited-

To the trees on Caroline Street - Please stop shitting on my car. Your rotten-acorn-like droppings make my car look like it has skin cancer or something.

To the bastards at HBO - Please send me my replacement Deadwood DVD. If it doesn't arrive by the time I get back, I'm going to start sending you hate mail.

To the leftist punks - I can respect your religious preferences. But don't shit your pants when I say Merry Christmas.

To the people in traffic on the way home tonight - You're already on vacation so move the hell over. My vacation just started and I want to get home.

To the people in traffic on the way to Pittsburgh - I'm sure somebody will piss me off. I don't know who, but if you're reading this - up yours!

Wow! So many grievances in one post. Funny thing is, I hear you. I don't how many idiots at work I have to deal with, whether it's co-workers or customers it doesn't matter. Mistress Cat Lady would lay it on pretty thick with work related grievances, but I shall spare everyone the sordid details of the work woes.

I applaud your attempt at equal opportunity, and it's funny because every time I hear some crap about African-America this, Spanish-American that, Whatever-American it is I never - never once - find an Irish-American, German-American, Italian-American, Greek-American, or any European-American celebration (and yes, relunctantly I include you France).

I going to start putting together a work related celebration day, hopefully once a month, to celebrate these long lost, forgotten groups (or should I say discriminated?). I expect to put together a small slide show that identifies the glories of the culture as well as provide samples of cuisine for the representitive country.

That way, I can celebrate my history, especially the fact that if it wasn't for the Greeks and the Italians our world, everything we know and think, would never have come to pass.

Remember Marathon, Thermopylae, and Carthage (though I do lament the loss of Carthage, the knowledge in the famous library lost forever).
